Anyways, Hubby surprised me for our anniversary. I am lucky to have found a guy who loves to try new things and who likes to plan these new mini adventures. Friday, October 13th (I know, Friday the 13th... probably the 1st Friday the 13th that was not awful), we both got the day off to spend together. Later that day we drove to my surprise. I made sure not to assume or guess what the surprise was, I didn't want to allow myself to get disappointed because I hoped it was one thing and it was something completely different. Boy, was I surprised. Something I wouldn't have even thought of, Cirque Du Soleil Lucia. Holy moly, was I surprised and in a good way! We both have never went to a Cirque Du Soleil event, so it was exciting to say the least!
We got there a bit early, so we were able to walk around and check it out. We tried some interesting flavored beer and walked around. There were so many different things you could purchase, soccer balls, t-shirts, hats, flower crowns that light up, etc. We didn't buy anything, we chose to just enjoy the experience. We only took a few pictures, because again we wanted to fully enjoy the experience, and boy was it an experience! The things that the performers could do, AMAZING!! I really got into it, constantly cheering them on. If you haven't went, you really should!
The next morning we decided to go to Marietta to watch his little cousin's soccer game. He lives in Florida and his parents weren't able to make it, so it was great to be able to cheer him on! Afterwards we went to Ponce City Market, somewhere we have been wanting to go check out. The vibe there is very rustic/modern (which is the "In" thing, which I personally Love!) They have so many cool/interesting shops and so many options when it comes to food! We decided to try a ramen spot, and we were not disappointed. We then walked around and explored. We didn't make it to the roof, we want to plan another day for that. We did check out where it connected to the belt line, did you know you could rent a bike to ride on the belt line?
Sunday morning we picked up my mom and went to our favorite place to eat breakfast, Sun In My Belly! The food is so savory and delicious! I love the atmosphere, too! It has become our go-to brunch spot. If you haven't checked it out, you should. Its not far from Little Five Points, so you can make a day of it, unless you live close by.
