I (Savannah) have always wanted to get into photography. I was the photography editor of our yearbook and when a classmate tells you that she always thought you were a photographer, than maybe you are. Well, after receiving my first DSLR camera and having opportunities to learn, we have decided to create our own photography + Film business together. Hubby, Paul, is always creating videos so it's perfect!
When my cousin moved back to GA, married and pregnant, I knew they were the perfect people to practice and grow my skills with. I had the honor of shooting their maternity pictures. birthing pictures, and Isaac's newborn shoot. It helps that I am the godmother too! I'm learning with each shoot, as the settings are different. We are planning their first family photoshoot for next weekend!
As our skills grow, so do our opportunities. We have the pleasure of shooting our first wedding in October. Since it is our first, I offered for us to shoot their engagement pictures probono. This will give them an idea of how we shoot and also allow us to scope out the location. The engagement shoot will be in April (around Easter). We have plenty of time to continue to grow more comfortable and confident in our work.
